What a legend! This is him at his prime in my opinion! During this period, the albums New York, Magic and Loss, and Songs for Drella were some of his best song writing of his career, I wish they could have had the same popularity and be known by the masses even half as much as the song he’s associated with the most, walk on the wild side!

First time i heard this on the cd i thought it was remarkable., never heard anything quite like it.
I loved the New York record but this was completely different.
Seeing this performance live is an absolute treat.
There will never be another Lou Reed.

I really enjoyed this, thanks! I was looking for stuff about Antony and remembered that the first time I heard of him Lou used him on "Magic & Loss" for this song, but Lou's using someone else here. Glad that I bumped into this! Thanks again!

I've never heard this before. It's astoundingly good. I was looking for Coney Island Baby where Lou sings,
🎶the Glory of love🎶, but this is an awesome discovery. Who is that back-up singer? He seems so unique and spiritual.
