we the public assume that the nsa is, at best, collecting metadata on everything we do and at worst, listening to everything we say, reading everything we type, and tracking every thing we look at, go to, etc.  but the nsa itself seems to be one of the entities that has been breached and does not know it.  they seem affronted and shocked when a snowden arises.
