Why are Adam and Lute in the Hazbin Hotel Pilot?

Did you notice this in Hazbin Hotel?

During the pilot in the intro cutscene we see a couple peculiar silhouettes of characters that interact with charlie. For years i’ve seen fans speculate on who they were, so who are they?

Well these two characters are actually lute and adam. We can tell this because originally during early drafts of hazbin, lute had longer hair and adam featured large wings and resembled a dragon.

This was eventually changed so that instead adam resembled his voice actor alex brightman.

Personally i think this was a huge upgrade. It doesn’t really make sense for adam to be a dragon, especially since he’s the first human. I also really like adam’s signature guitar and obsession with rock music. It just made him so much more entertaining as a villain.

It does make it more unique when the characters resemble their VAs. That's not an easy thing to do

It is probably because in the song Charlie is singing about her problems, so maybe that’s what it was referring to was her problems with heaven and her daddy issues with Lucifer?

He was obsessed to the point that he actually refers to vaggie and charlie as a duet. Also considering he named vaggie it can be assumed he named Lute after the instrument .

I recently found out that the angel of death Azrael was supposed to be the leader of the exterminations not, Adam. But Vivzie changed it in the last minute. Maybe the character with Lute in the plot was Azrael. I wonder why she changed it. Though I think because its too cliché Azrael would make more sense than Adam.

I love Adam turning out to have a normal human face from a thematic perspective. Throughout the final battle, starting from the point where Charlie injures him but really kicking in when Lucifer punches him, his downfall comes in the form of tearing him down. From this once-thought-invincible warlord to just A Man.

Dragon Adam would’ve been neat for like ten minutes before you really start wondering things. Humanlike Adam is definitely superior.

I watch a bunch of these shorts and I’m impressed because usually when someone says did you know this about XXX it’s usually something obvious or something a lot of other people have already pointed out but somehow you have so many with actually interesting things in it

I was thinking about Adam having the ability to change to a dragon but still resembles his voice actor because I theorize that winners have the power to shape change into there favorite animals
