#FM14 Video Blog - Classic Mode (English version)

FM14 is the most feature-packed and technically advanced release in Sports Interactive history, with over 1,000 new features and improvements. The FM experience is enhanced with the game available on Linux for the first time and the introduction of 'cloud save' technology, meaning managers can now pursue a single career from any computer, anywhere in the world.

Great improvements for FMC. This FMC is one of the best feature that happened to FM in the last years Imho. Still, since I'm very happy with FM13 i will only buy if there's a special offer later on. The Improvements this year won't make be pay another 30 Euro's at the moment.

Thank you so much for the Classic mode, in FM 2013 it was a bit lackluster (especially the 3 nations restriction was frustrating and limited gameplay a lot).

Its the simplicity (taking out newer features that are considered time consuming by some) and shorter time spent to get through a season that makes it give it a "classic" feel, I assume.

Although I don't play FMC, I can see that these are very nice improvements for the regular players of FMC. I agree with nerdybeercastle, I see this version as more of a giant patch than a brand new game. There is still time to build in new features, but because it is already october, I don't think there will be any unfortunaly

Classic mode is closer to something like CM 01/02 than career mode. Therefore it's called classic mode

i agree with many on here, FMC gets all the good graphical displays where as the full on career mode doesn't get much of it, id say most people who buy this game play career mode stop giving the casual players all the toys

700 hours played on FM13 to date, 0 of them spent on Classic or Challenge mode. I'm not saying they shouldn't be in the game I'm just saying it's all about the real long term game for me.

Why are you splitting the game up with the two? There are some great features that would be great in the full career mode, this happened in 2013 as well...

I bought FM13 at a discount last year, and unless there are substantial improvements in the Career Mode or the game engine, I really don't think I will be buying FM14. The game really hasn't progressed very much since FM11. If all that's happening is small improvements (which, don't get me wrong is still great work) and this new FMC, I can't see myself spending the extra money to buy the new version unless the players and their ratings get way too outdated (ie: until FM16). :(

Well i have a job so not much time on my hands hence why i play classic mode on evenings and the full mode on weekend.. Majority of my fellow working friends do the same too

I also have a job, no idea what that has to do with anything because the save button works for employed people the same way it works for unemployed people, unless having a job is impressive and your just showing off?

The only thing I don't like in this mode is that you can't do the pep talks before, at ht and in the end of matches /:

my biggest issue with Classic is that the real time editors don't work with it.   What a joke...this is the one mode people would use it the most !
