I recognize this move from my wrestling partner. They called it the Cross Buttock throw though. I guess that a lot of grappling arts share techniques

This throw works better with a waist grip, which is the traditional way of doing it.

I usually do tai otoshi from the underhook, or harai.

I would go with a waist grip as well . The shoulder grip is too loose.

Am I the only judoka who noticed his feet were to far apart for a proper ogoshi? Not on balls of feet ?

Much easier to just lock up head to head then to try and 'Slyly' slide the arm hook in there. It is possible but I bet most of your opponents are not as good as yourself. Think. Those who wrestle or judo are already mentally prepared to just lock up at the head like bulls and begin. Much easier, without the Gi, to toss from that position. Super easy.
