Who can blame him? He has a frickin family! Whats the point of exposing yourself and possibly your family if there is no chance at anything. I'm a Portland fan and like ya we're probably not gonna win the championship but Dame just wants a chance to compete instead of go not make it and have the chance at injury, sickness, or anything else!

It makes sense what he says. He doesn’t need to play. Need to remind he just came off a injury which was minor but still. It’s the same thing as if people load manage when they make the playoffs or not.

1-16 seeding is only unfair in a One Match play offs... But in a 7 Game the best two teams will/should always ultimately meet in the Conference Finals

I don’t know how they would do this fairly. The blazers are only 3.5 games back, they could definitely overtake the grizzlies for the 8th seed and make the playoffs if they were to finish all 82 games. But if you’re the grizzlies, I wouldn’t like if the league just says screw the entire season so far and the 3.5 game lead you built, play a play in tournament and if you lose, you lose. The only way this would be fair is if you finish all the regular season games, but they probably won’t do that.

Why can’t they just do a wild card like baseball make a mini series to see who makes the 8th seed 8th-10th play for a spot 1 game elimination or best of 3 wouldn’t be a bad idea 💡 NBA we want DAME!🔥💡

I agree with Lillard. Why risk my health, teammate’s health and my families health just to play a few throw in games to make up the season and still don’t make the playoffs?

Here's what I think..
Let the 12 best teams clinch their spots.
Teams 13-through-20 go on to play a qualifier pool for the last 4 playoff spots, like they do in FIFA, the Olympics. 7 games for each team, each team gets to play each other. The top-4 advance, the bottom-4 go home, and each game matters.
-People who want a play-in get their wish. People who want a 7-10 game regular season get their wish.
-Only 20 out of the 30 teams to protect. Send the bottom 10 teams home. And no janky play-in with 24 or 30 teams.
-Dame is happy.
Make it happen.

At the end of the day he is completely in the wrong and should play regardless of the situation. Why? Because he needs to earn the money he's making like literally every other profession. You can't just not play as the star player. Even if you have no chance of making the playoffs, you're still making your millions so you gotta go out and do your job. No hate, thats just my opinion.

I think this year all teams can play play offs
doing a knock out tournament
or at least 12 from west and 12 from east
and let the talk on court and it will make great income to NBA
