Here is the history abridged. . . .I will let it speak for itself.
Before Israel, Gaza, The Westbank, and the Golan Heights, there was a
British mandate, not a Palestinian state.

-Before the British Mandate, there was the Ottoman Empire, not a
Palestinian state.
(This period provided a relatively stable period for Jewish people as
many began to move around the region, but upon its collapse many
emigrated to different parts of the world again, contributing to
another Diaspora.)

-Before the Ottoman Empire, there was the Islamic state of the Mamluks
of Egypt, not a Palestinian state.
(The Mamluks severely oppressed the Jews and greatly mismanaged the
economy, resulting in a period of great social and economic decline.
Jewish population continues to be a minority in the region.)

-Before the Islamic state of the Mamluks of Egypt, there was the
Ayyubid Sultanate, not a Palestinian state.
(This period provided a relatively stable period for Jewish people but
the population rarely fluctuated and the Jewish population continues
to be a minority in the region.)

-Before the Ayyubid Sultanate, there was the Frankish and Christian
Kingdom of Jerusalem, and another Diaspora, not a Palestinian state.
(The majority of Jews in Jerusalem are killed or sold into slavery in
another Diaspora and the Jewish population continues to be a minority
in the region.)

-Before the Kingdom of Jerusalem, there was the Fatimid Caliphate, not
a Palestinian state.
(The Fatimid appears to continue trends from the Umayyad Arabization
and the Jewish population continues to be a minority in the region.)

-Before the Fatimid Caliphate, there was the Abbasid Caliphate, not a
Palestinian state.
(The Abbasid appears to continue trends from the Umayyad Arabization
and the Jewish population continues to be a minority in the region.)

-Before the Abbasid Caliphate, there was the Umayyad Caliphate, not a
Palestinian state.
(The Umayyad begins Arabization and levant. Jews are protected under
the law but are considered dhimmi ie: second-class or "protected"
citizens. The population continues to be a minority in the region.)

-Before the Umayyad Caliphate, there was the Byzantine Empire,
(Most Jews are still across the world at this point and the Jewish
population continues to be a minority in the region.)

-Before the Byzantine, there was the Sassanid Empire and another
Diaspora, not a Palestinian state.
(During this period Jewish communities were scattered throughout the
world, encompassing parts of Southeastern Europe, Western Asia, and
North Africa, and the Jewish population continued to be a minority in
the region.)

-Before the Sassanid Empire, there was the Roman Empire, and another
Jewish Diaspora, not a Palestinian state.
(The region was renamed Palestine-Syria in an attempt to sever Jewish
ties to the land and assert Roman domination. Jewish population
becomes to be a minority in the region, again. The people are divided
further by culture and customs. The Jewish sects of the people are
mostly expelled from the region. The rest mostly remain.)

-Before the Roman Empire, there was the Hasmonean State/Dynasty, not a
Palestinian State.
(a quasi-autonomous Jewish state but still under Seleucid control,
some evidence suggests many Jews returned to the region.)

-Before the Hasmonean State/Dynasty, there was the Seleucid, and
another Jewish Diaspora, not a Palestinian state.
(This was partly thwarted by a group of Jews known as the Maccabees.
Many Jews were dispersed into communities throughout Egypt, Asia
Minor, and beyond.)

-Before the Seleucid Empire, there was the empire of Alexander the
Great, not a Palestinian state.
(Bringing with him Helenization of the region. This forced Greek
culture into the region. This was a period in which the divide in
Semitic people became more prominent as some Semites embraced
Hellenistic culture and religious practices.)

-Before the empire of Alexander the Great, there was the Persian
Empire, and another Diaspora forcing many into Babylon, not a
Palestinian state.

-Before the Persian Empire, there was the Babylonian Empire, and
another Diaspora, not a Palestinian state.

-Before the Babylonian Empire, there was the Assyrian Empire, the
first Jewish Diaspora, not a Palestinian state.

-Before the Assyrian Empire, there were the Kingdoms of Israel and
Judah, not a Palestinian state.
(Jewish majority state, but many were still polytheistic and not Jews.
They are mostly comprised of many Semitic backgrounds.)

-Before the Kingdom of Israel and Judah, there was a United Kingdom of
Israel, not a Palestinian state.
(A Jewish majority state, mostly under Jewish control with many
Semitic people who were polytheistic.)

-Before the kingdom of Israel, there was the theocracy of the twelve
tribes of Israel, not a Palestinian state.
(A Jewish Theocracy and Judaism were probably founded around this time.)

-Before the theocracy of the twelve tribes of Israel, there was an
agglomeration of independent Canaanite city-kingdoms, not a
Palestinian state.
(Pre-dates Judaism)

-Before the agglomeration of independent Canaanite city-kingdoms,
there were tribes and communities of Canaanites with a mix of
agricultural and pastoral lifestyles, not a Palestinian state.

-Before there were tribes and communities of Canaanites, there was the
Ubaid Culture. a Mesopotamian culture during the Bronze Age, not a
Palestinian state.

-Before the Ubaid Culture, there was the Chalcolithic Culture. A
transitional period between the Neolithic and Bronze Age, not a
Palestinian state.

-Before the Chalcolithic Cultures, there was the Natufians.
Hunter-gatherers that live in sedentary communities, not a Palestinian
state.

-Before the Natufians, there was an Ice Age, not a Palestinian statehood...

Actually, in this piece of land, there has been everything, EXCEPT A
PALESTINIAN STATE!

As a child raised as a Christian, it took decades to find Judaism. For me personally it is nothing like any denomination, especially Orthodox. You are obligated to pray 3 times a day and with kavuna, that can mean an hour and a half of just the morning prayer. You constantly think of Hashem never taking anything for granted. From the second you open your eyes, modeh ani, then netilat yadayim. It took discipline in the beginning with changing my diet, but I don't regret it for a second. It's so much more than I ever imagined and I just wish I learned this much earlier. It brings more meaning to life. Getting my first Siddur changed my life.
