Here is the history abridged. . . .I will let it speak for itself.

(The Mamluks severely oppressed the Jews and greatly mismanaged the
economy, resulting in a period of great social and economic decline.
Jewish population continues to be a minority in the region.)

-Before the Islamic state of the Mamluks of Egypt, there was the
Ayyubid Sultanate, not a Palestinian state.
(This period provided a relatively stable period for Jewish people but
the population rarely fluctuated and the Jewish population continues
to be a minority in the region.)

-Before the Ayyubid Sultanate, there was the Frankish and Christian
Kingdom of Jerusalem, and another Diaspora, not a Palestinian state.
(The majority of Jews in Jerusalem are killed or sold into slavery in
another Diaspora and the Jewish population continues to be a minority
in the region.)

-Before the Kingdom of Jerusalem, there was the Fatimid Caliphate, not
a Palestinian state.
(The Fatimid appears to continue trends from the Umayyad Arabization
and the Jewish population continues to be a minority in the region.)

-Before the Fatimid Caliphate, there was the Abbasid Caliphate, not a
Palestinian state.
(The Abbasid appears to continue trends from the Umayyad Arabization

ties to the land and assert Roman domination. Jewish population
becomes to be a minority in the region, again. The people are divided
further by culture and customs. The Jewish sects of the people are
mostly expelled from the region. The rest mostly remain.)

some evidence suggests many Jews returned to the region.)

(This was partly thwarted by a group of Jews known as the Maccabees.
Many Jews were dispersed into communities throughout Egypt, Asia
Minor, and beyond.)

Great, not a Palestinian state.
(Bringing with him Helenization of the region. This forced Greek
culture into the region. This was a period in which the divide in
Semitic people became more prominent as some Semites embraced
Hellenistic culture and religious practices.)

Empire, and another Diaspora forcing many into Babylon, not a
Palestinian state.

They are mostly comprised of many Semitic backgrounds.)

As a child raised as a Christian, it took decades to find Judaism. For me personally it is nothing like any denomination, especially Orthodox. You are obligated to pray 3 times a day and with kavuna, that can mean an hour and a half of just the morning prayer. You constantly think of Hashem never taking anything for granted. From the second you open your eyes, modeh ani, then netilat yadayim. It took discipline in the beginning with changing my diet, but I don't regret it for a second. It's so much more than I ever imagined and I just wish I learned this much earlier. It brings more meaning to life. Getting my first Siddur changed my life.
