Anyone else here have an anxious attachment style lol?

The odds do lean toward anxious and avoidants coupling, or friending, often the chemistry (specifically the romantic chemistry) is in hyperdrive when these styles come together. High polarity makes for a very charged relationship which can be great. But without good communication it can be extremely challenging. It’s good yall talk about these things openly as a couple together!

I think I might be both, it kinda depends on the situation. For example, an argument would definitely put me in avoidant mode 😅 but everything else, would probably be anxious attachment style lol

I wonder how common it is for these two attachment styles to be drawn towards each other. I’m definitely anxious and my partner is avoidant but if we looked at our parents his are anxious and mine are avoidant so we did the opposite of what we had but are comfortable with the other style in other people.

It’s not that uncommon actually! Avoidant plus anxious creates a push pull. Where one is chasing (anxious) and one is distancing (avoidant) which fuels both. 😝 Learned this in therapy after a toxic relationship.
