Schwinn 230 Bike Review: Pros and Cons of Schwinn 230 Bike
Welcome to our Schwinn 230 Bike Review
The Schwinn 230 is a recumbent bike that is very affordable and rich in features. It features 20 resistance levels, 22 preset workout programs, a 3-speed workout fan, a 13-pound flywheel, a USB charging port, media tray, and a sound system. It's missing the Bluetooth capability and the ability to use a chest strap to monitor your heart rate, but it’s a great recumbent bike.
You can connect your mobile devices and access Schwinn Connect to easily download your workout data to help keep track of your progress.
Features
Seat
The seat is contoured and vented with a non-adjustable backrest that is sturdy and provides some lumbar support. The seat slides very easily along the frame which allows you to set your preferred distance from the pedals.
Handlebars
The bike has 2 sets of handlebars with the main ones being at either side of the seat. They're designed with grip pulse sensors that track your heart rate while exercising. The second handlebars are located on the console and are curved upward but they don't have pulse sensors.
Charging port
You can connect your phone or tablet to the USB charging port for charging as you exercise. This will keep your devices powered even while you’re using them.
Heart rate monitoring
The handgrip pulse sensors will help to monitor your heart rate as you exercise, but to get more accurate heart rate readings, you can buy a Bluetooth chest strap to keep an eye on your pulse and measure your intensity.
Use profiles
This bike is easy to share since it has 2 user profiles so each can save their workout info, personal data, and custom programs separately. This makes it easier and faster to start your workout.
