Have The Solidity

Ever had a moment where you feel like you have it completely together as a Taoist practitioner?

Yeah, nor does Master Gu!

But he does feel like he is closer to being happy with where he is at on the days when he embraces the Taoist concept of being solid and stable within, regardless of external circumstances. In Taoism, we speak of having the solidity of a mountain—unwavering and serene amidst the chaos of the world. This doesn’t mean being perfect or immovable but finding a deep sense of inner peace and stability that guides you through life's ups and downs.

On these days, he focuses on grounding practices like meditation, Tai Chi, or simply spending time in nature, aligning myself with the steady, enduring qualities of the earth. These practices help him return to his center, as he says, reminding him that he doesn’t need to have everything figured out to stand firm in his journey.

How about you? What is your trick to finding that solid grounding, to remind yourself that you don't need to be perfect to be at peace with where you are in your journey?

Master Gu your teaching is very special; you probably know Master Jirong because he is from Wudang Mountain; he was my teacher ; you both have the Wudang Mountain Way of beauty and demonstrate kung of chi each in your own way; this teaching today is very special to me; i see the way you teach and demonstrate and i understand from 45 years of practice in tranquility and solidity, is the meaning of kung; my prayer for you is that the Almighty reveals His Grace to both you and Master Jirong, and all on the Mountain, because you are so so special. If you are ever coming down to Australia, please reply. Such an honor to study your teachings. Keep well brother, and safe; long life; continue the very important work. Spread the kindness. Every blessing. Love. JP

This is why I'm so nervous about posting a video on how I'm developing or coming along in my tai chi training at the academy..I'm guided to practice in 2 ways the first which I do ninety nine percent of the time involves a lot of stance work hidden leg techniques where the steps/trying to keep balance and solidity and the second is where my steps are steps devoid of the first.Thank you master Gu/Shifu.I hope you can critique when I post a video of both ways so I can get your incite and guidance as an online student.Much love shifu always and thank you for all the healing you and the school have given me, I have no words to describe how much in terms of emotional and mental benefits received. My anxiety is little or non existent where as before I worried and fretted about everything.God Bless you and much love always.💖💖💖🙏
