An extremely interesting day metal detecting on one of my favourite farms, resulted in some superb discoveries dating from as far back as the Roman, Saxon and also the medieval period, with an exception!, an amazing gold coin turned up after being lost for over 250 years! The weather held back the rain and we were treated to around a 100 acres of good, easy-detecting land! The finds didn't disappoint!
