I agree cultural traditions must be honored and respected. Not everything is a 30 minute meal Ms. Ray. That was a chilli

That was so untraditional she made the Mexican mom speak English

The process of making food dishes with culinary cultures, traditions, and history should always be acknowledged and treated with respect. These beautiful ladies are not complaining, but are only reflecting on the disservice of "cooking shows" half assing a recipe that they threw together and gentrified for the tv audience. This sad and leaves out the history and contributions of different cultures that have made food dishes diverse and loved by many people around the world.

EDIT: I didn't expect my comment get this many likes and replies. I appreciate the dialogue and the different viewpoints from everyone who has commented. My comments came from a place that was not bashing Rachel Ray, but acknowledging what is left out when she was putting the recipe together. Yes, this is HER interpretation of the Pozole and that is fine, but I wanted to acknowledge that recipes hold special meanings to people and should not be disregarded. Regardless of who makes the recipe there should always be an understanding of what the recipe is and what it means to a persons culture and history.

Rachel Ray just forgot to add a piñata and a mariachi band in that throw up 🤢🤮🤢🤮🤢 of a dish she created!

I love how passionate the ladies get. It's not just food, it's culture... It means something. Pozole is one lf my absolute favorites.

She made chili, and that’s even an insult to Texan chili! 😂

I used to cook for a living, and one of the first things told to me was that before putting a twist on a dish you HAVE to learn how it's traditionally made. To do so otherwise is disrespectful to that culture.

This is the equivalent of someone saying they had an “authentic” clam chowder recipe from America and they threw in burgers, chili dogs, potato chips, cherry pie and mac n’ cheese with pickles into a boiling pot of clam chowder and served that disgusting mess in a bowl and said it was yummy!

That's my momma in the vid! Proud son over here. I learned how to make the dish from her this year. She's in LA and I'm in NYC, and it came out bomb. The review (from my partner) says, "Quedo bien chingon!" For everyone reading, please know that pozole has a special place in the Mexican heart since the days of our indigenous ancestors. It's important for us to honor that legacy and tradition.

I’m from a tiny island in Asia and have never heard of pozole before this video. If i had watched Rachael Ray’s video only, i honestly would’ve thought that’s real pozole. So yeah, putting a disclaimer that your recipe was inspired by another culture or just simply not authentic, does matter.

I was taught how to cook true traditional Mexican food like Pozole, menudo, Mole, enchiladas and much more by my mom, I never deviate or try to " modernize" any of the recipes she taught me.
