International Portuguese Music Awards 2022 Airing Soon

The International Portuguese Music Awards (IPMA) has recognized music produced by artists of Portuguese descent since 2013. Daniela Ruah and Ricardo Farias hosted this tenth anniversary show that took place at the Providence Performing Arts Center in Providence, Rhode Island on April 23.

The 2022 IPMA will air worldwide on RTP International on a date to be announced.

The milestone event included performances by Aurea, Paulo Gonzo, Lúcia Moniz, Calema, Ângelo Freire, Jorge Ferreira, Delfins, Giuliana Amaral, Karina Alves (K45), and Xutos & Pontapés.

The star-studded event included appearances by The Portuguese Kids, Emmy Award-winning CBS reporter John Dias, world renowned choreographer Manuela Oliveira, and Miss Connecticut USA Cynthia Dias.

There were thirteen awards up for grabs in categories including rock, rap, fado, music video, and best new talent.
