Judge Merchan Presented Trump’s appeal to a higher court before he ever sat on this case, and they agreed that his daughter’s choice of career has no bearing on his ability to judge a case fairly! This is the third time Trump has brought the same baseless appeal asking Merchan to step down.

I don't expect Trump will get actual prison time, but I think what would be fair is that he should be sentenced to whatever period of time on house arrest with no internet/social media access - just like every other incarcerated convict - suspended until the election.
If he loses the election, the sentence begins as of the announcement of the election winner.

He checked with the ethics committee and they found no reason why the judge needed to recuse himself and Trump can’t afford an appeal
