In the second of our Ringcraft videos, Ringcraft trainer Roxanne McDonald, takes a detailed look at "standing and stacking". She explains exactly what a dog is expected to do and what the different terms mean. She also explains what the judge will do and what they are looking for. Finally she warns of some common mistakes so that we can be aware that we are not making them too.

Sadly I have seen Roughs 'put' into place, not free stood.

Here's something I've never seen recommended, so maybe it's illegal? But when you're training your dog, why not have them associate treats with a clipboard or the person that's playing the judge? It's seems that they'd be more engaged and alert with the judge, which would seem more desirable.
