Massive Leak Resulting in Full Episodes of Dandadan and Ranma 1/2 Being out 2 Months Early

Whoever is responsible for leaking full episodes of Dandadan, Ranma 1/2 Remake, and Mononoke the Movie 2024 is about to lose their job and face prison time. This is a massive security breach for Netflix to have this many episodes out 2 months earlier than expected. I can't help but feel bad for the animators that worked on the show. Even MAPPA's show got leaked too

Damnit, so much for the DanDaDan community waiting patiently for them episodes. For real, this year we've been getting stories regarding leaks of episodes for certain anime series without any accountability whatsoever! Yup, whoever keeps on doing this for those respective anime companies definitely deserved getting fired.

As a massive fan of Dandadan, this sucks. I feel awful for Science Saru and mangaka, Yukinobu Tatsu. I'm not gonna support this leak whatsoever. Instead, I'm gonna watch in theaters for the premiere if I can. Otherwise, I'm going to wait. I want to support those who created it.

Maybe it's just me, but I despise leaks. Yeah sure I'd check some from time to time, but leaks like these kill the potential momentum a show could have. It's a despicable thing cuz the animators behind these projects are basically seeing their work thrashed on for the selfish readons of a stupid individual.

while it's true i'm mad the Ranma anime got leaked entirely as i'm incredibly hyped about it, i'm not particularly annoyed by the mononoke leaks

to be fair nobody knows mononoke to a point if you search it up all results will be about princess mononoke instead

so i don't think this will affect the movie sales at all, japan is way more strict about copyright wich makes sense given their economycal status it makes sense they find piracy to be a problem since unlike occident they have the money so they usually don't need to appeal to piracy wich is not necessarly a bad thing as long as those willing to pay for the content do so.for example as much as people hate marvel the big multimillionare company owned by disney isn't going to get into bankrupt because a few people did piracy is it?

by the other side however, mononoke movie being leaked to occident is NOT a bad thing, the fandom is already small and while it's certainly not impossible for the movie to release into teathers overseas how long do you think it will take? even popular movies like those of boku no hero or kaguya sama, spyxfamily took several months if not nearly a year to release overseas

while an obscure movie like mononoke may not even reach any teathers soon and as you can see it's as easy as leaking the completed high quality file and paying licenses sooner

but japanese media won't care about this audience unless we speak about a massive hit like dragon ball or shingeki no kyojin

so they are just sabotaging the chance of mononoke to become a popular franchise by legal means and get money from it

we don't even know if the movie will even reach platforms in the future wich is sad since mononoke is a very unique anime

let's take another example, kiniro mosaic/kinmoza doesn't have a huge fanbase either nor here nor in japan, so it's extremely hard to find the movie anywhere wether it's legally or appealing to piracy

i find it absolutely unfair and it wouldn't even be the first time since they wanted to ban manga piracy online from overseas

it does not affect them since they never planned to release those mangas overseas just because they weren't popular in japan, for example japanese audience hates watamote for being "too real" but here overseas people loved it and wanted a second season too badly wich could have mean potential wealth for the industry

it's absolutely gross that they would like to deny access to mangas like gakkou gurashi, kunoichi tsubaki etc for overseas readers who have no legal means to read them just because they wouldn't make money from it

then just release then overseas as well? there's a few mangas being released legally but really slow and the market is very limited right now

in any case the thing about releasing anime movies years later overseas only if they feel like it's completely unfair for the fans so i'm sorry but i have to be on the side of the leakers just this once

Chibi Reviews he's really dooming himself to life of a criminal and a poor one by leaking all of those out. It shows that he's really breaking the rules of Netflix and overstepping authority by doing that. Why did he thought it a good idea to do that and think he could get rewarded for it. That's a clear violation of company regulations and an illegal action. Those poor animators that had to go through the trouble of making those yet somebody disrespected their hard work. Also I can't believe Netflix let this happen and let the guy leak those anime early.

Japan's definitely going to file a complaint against Netflix and have the American government bring it to American court since it's clear Netflix is overstepping boundaries.

Much as I'm for piracy (so called "illegal" sights aren't piracy 99.9% of the time), I do not support people hacking into servers or employees stealing the content. The copyright holders need to be the ones who release it first. I think all sights need to ignore the leaks of this kind and wait for the official release.

Apparently the first episode of S3 of Re zero also leaked (it’s apparently going to be streaming in Netflix Japan).

To further expand the context why this is a BIG problem.

- first of all, some people are claiming that the leak comes from an asian dubbing studio hired by Netflix (but I wonder if one studio got all 3 titles to dub, because Netflix usually has a big variety in the dubbing studios they cooperate with)
- according to the #1 info leaker, Dandadan's whole production for season 1 ended at the beginning of July, which means all episodes are finished, which further means if that dubbing studio got access to all episodes, the leaker could potentialy have more shit in their possession
- after a few hours, the second episode of Dandadan got leaked, which sort of confirms my previous point
- the Mononoke Movie, released in Japan not even 2 weeks ago, this could potentialy harm ticket sales (same applies to Dandadan, which will have prescreenings of the first 3 episodes in cinemas in around 50 countries), but I seriously doubt it because the video quality is absolute dogshit, not worth anyones time

...but I also have a small request to anyone who was planning to watch this on their platform, and is reaching for the leaks.
Watch again on the release of each of these titles. Even have it playing muted in the background.
