Beyond the Andes | Hiking the Andes Mountains in Peru for Five Days

Five days of relaxing silent hiking through the authentic Andes Mountains in Peru close to Rainbow Mountain. Join me and my friend Brian on our hike as we experience authentic Peruvian village life, interview a few local people about their daily life in remote villages, and go hiking with dogs, alpacas, and llamas through breathtaking valleys and over awe-inspiring rainbow mountain passes. Throughout my journey here, I was constantly reminded of the Nepal Himalayas: from the warm villagers, to the cold and snowy giants. Trek was in October 2023.

Absolutely beautiful. Best relaxing documentary I have seen. I have hiked the Applacians, the Adirondacks, the Inca trails in Peru and Ecuador, the Alps above Austria, and paraglided many. But at 78 it is all a memory...awakened by knees, ankles, and rest of my body pains. I lived and loved every minute. Congratulations on ths one. I could smell the llama and the fire places. I will be back for more. Live in Cuenca, climbed Cotopaxi and Chimborazo for good measure. Thanks for the memories.
