Making The OSB Stool

This is an older video that I had to re-edit and re-upload. I fixed up the audio a bit and added in some cheesy music.
I did this because the original is screwed up - audio is out of sync due to a 3 second intro video that is stuck at the beginning. YouTube used to make putting that intro in at the beginning of a video possible, but disabled the feature, and for some reason it wasn't removed from that one.
Also, unfortunately, I lost the original video file from my hard drive and had to download the very compressed version from YouTube, so it's not the best quality. But, at least it's watchable now, which is good because it was a pretty cool project.

***Please note that this is NOT an outdoor stool - I just photographed it outside to get the best picture.

This is even better the second time! Still can't get over how good you are at cutting out inside shapes with a jigsaw and no starter hole :)

I have an old trunk I am rehabbing with OSB. I removed the black plastic covering and thought I'd have to fill with god knows what. DUH. Sanding. Why didn't I think of that? Great job. Spectacular job on the chair. Thanks

I love how in the end it looks like it was carved from a giant cork. I would have never thought OSB could look so good.

Older videos have a lot of important meaning and options to building the chair with other types of materials. I just love the concept of that chair. Fantastic, thanks John for the Practical Chair, Happy 2016 !!

Beautiful piece! I liked the trick you did with the Jigsaw. Plunging it to start cutting without having made a starting hole!

Enjoyed watching the process. Amazing what you were able to create from plain old OSB.

Cool way you used the bits to span the sides. Always did love the way OSB looks with some sanding and finish.

That was great, I really like how it came out! Lots of sanding with osb, but you can keep cost down! Real cool!

I think it's expensive a stool of this, but it was wonderful, perfect. I'm your fan here in Brazil. Thank you for sharing the knowledge!
