Your videos like this are so helpful! I started my period when i was 12 and i was so worried as i had nothing with me. My mum came and picked me up from school and i sat on the sofa watching tv eating chocolate with a hot water bottle. Its so helpful that you are normalising periods for girls that havent started yet or have just started. Videos like this make it less awkward to tell someone about it or as for help :)

I remember getting my first period around 11. Normally I don’t get cramps but, if I do, a heating pad usually helps. My mom usually makes a ginger and date tea which can help ease the pain.

Note to all mums out there- From a very very early age (around 5-7yrs old) I was extremely open n explained everything to my daughter n she knew wen i started etc as I called it me “red week” n that I mayb a lil bit moody n so forth… Then wen she turned 9 I gave her a period starter kit just incase she was to start early like I did because I was 9 when I started my periods… I was at school n the teacher found me crying in the bathroom as I was scared stiff… My mother hadn’t had “that talk” with me so I didn’t have a clue what it was n I thought I was going to die… xxxx
