I'm assuming you tried to do your thing on the karaoke component, as in everything except the vocals. The result is great.

Here's a suggested experiment, in case you'd be interested : Try creating a second version of this cover, just with the singing replicated by a cello.

The cello is described as being very close in effect to the human voice (and I can personally attest to it). The karaoke component of this piece sounds somewhat "lonely" without the component that the singing creates.
