This one is a super fun project that I really enjoyed every step of the way. Giant thank you to @Bernadette Banner for inviting me to test the pattern and Sky Switzer for organizing all this. Part of the proceeds of this video will be going to the CIC.

I love that the whole costuming side of youtube is coming together to support American theater. As a person who is part of a family who loves costuming and acts it warms my cold, frigid, heart 😭

I loved the surprise medical interlude! And I love the jacket in pink, you did a beautiful job and made it your own!

I just can't comprehend how you have the time to be a doctor, sew incredibly labour intensive garments AND make videos of it... I'm in awe

"can't watch it without crying" she says with a teary voice. I feel you. I am crying just thinking about it.

Oh please keep on doing random science facts, makes my STEM heart melt <3

This video is the anti-recipe review. "I did every step differently, and I still love it! 10/10"

The Spencer turned out so beautiful!! I don't know why but I thought the jacket with jeans was a really fun look

Now this is the kind of haute couture I can get behind, so elegant and timeless (that jacket rocks with a pair of jeans). Also love the STEM interlude, it’s so important to see how different professions/arts influence each other and commingle

I am also a doctor-seamstress. When my sons were children, I sewed all their costumes and a lot of their clothing. Nowadays, I sew a lot more historically-inspired clothing. (I also reupholster our furniture and sew drapes, just like you do.)
That double piping is beautiful and inspiring.

I love that the spencer has a feature on it that occurs in blood when the body fights infection! That's perfect for a make during COVID.

You are a LIFESAVER! I've been looking to make this pattern, and after reading the instructions, I was so confused on some of the more complex parts. Thank you SO MUCH for your detailed videos!

I loved how you said "I did the medial... um, more central darts by hand..." As another doctor-sewer, I appreciated it (though I'm no where near your sewing talents) .

I was on the fence about buying the pattern, but then you put the jacket on over jeans and a shirt. Now it's a must have. Obsessed for sure.

a white turtleneck and jeans would be a nice way to modernize it!
