Because Stevie’s little brother received care for pediatric cancer at Children’s Hospital Colorado, she decided to volunteer in our Emergency Department. And because of that experience, she knew she wanted to become a registered nurse. Now, as a pediatric registered nurse in our Heart Institute's Cardiac Intensive Care Unit, or CICU, “I love every minute of my job,” Stevie says.

Experience a day in the life of Stevie as she provides care for patients and families who are living with critical heart conditions. Hear what she says is the most meaningful part of her job, what motivates her as a pediatric RN, what it’s like to work at a top-ranked pediatric hospital and how her team supports each other.

Thanks to the care she provides, families have written her thank you notes, and she’s found a sense of purpose.
