I think, for the most part, all of us believe the Israelites people deserve to live in peace and the Palestinians deserve statehood! It’s really a crap show here.

We need a language update, because most Palestinians are Semites but most Jews are not.

a. There are always going to be people co-opting a position they oppose in order to lend themselves to framing it as in the extreme in order to discredit it.

b. People with ulterior motives- for example, people who genuinely have anti-Semitic views- will attach themselves to causes that are morally based- like opposing Israeli genocide of Palestinians- but for the wrong reasons.

c. The way the issue is framed, conflating support for Palestinians with support for Hamas, is meant to dissolve mental distinctions and reinforce tribalism as a response- again, in order to dismiss the genocide of Palestinians and make it acceptable by Israel.

But not making distinctions between the actions or beliefs of individual members of a population or group and the attitude of collective punishment toward the whole group is what leads to prejudice in general, and is the same attitude that has informed Israel’s genocidal attitude toward Palestine.

It’s impossible not to feel some resentment toward the population of Israel, who largely support what their government is doing ( although a parallel could be made currently between that and what’s going on with our own government); and there’s also a distinction between that and considering Israeli people collectively responsible in the same way Israel has held Palestinians; or between that and assuming the Zionist attitudes of/ judging every Jewish person based on what Israel is doing.

I feel like it’s FAR more disturbing to witness what Israel is doing to innocent women and children. How are they any better than the terrorists at this point?

I couldn’t fault them in the beginning, because seeing what the terrorists did to women, children and the BABIES… I would want the same thing.

I'm anti right wing government. Therefore, I'm against the very right-wing government of Israel. I am not anti Jewish. I am not pro Hamas. I am for Palestinian human rights. I think they should be treated better. Isn't it ok to be all of these positions at the same time?

I cant stand hearing about the children and infants are the victims. I dont care which side the children are "on", they are innocent and i wish the evil people would either stop, or be stopped. Just let the palestine people have their own country, where humas is not there.
