I believe you when you say those weren't duck nails but I think the oval shape is much nicer on you. Maybe a coffin shape could be interesting if you're ever tempted to go more square-ish again

So, if you dont want to cut the dead skin off, you can still use the e file to lift the proximal nail fold and remove the dead cuticle from the nail, making that dead skin rise up along the nail fold, also gently clean the side walls etc and have it look really good. You just leave that dead skin sitting there, and as you continue to prep the nail, you clean the surrounding skin as well with the alcohol, that gets rid of about 50% of it, so it looks pretty good right off the bat. Then you wash your hands after you finish to make sure all the free acrylate is removed from your nails, and that gets rid of almost all of it. Within a day or so it looks completely smooth, without any guess work or accidentally cutting too deep. Also cuts down on the time the manicure takes.

Also if you aren’t the neatest you can put Vaseline on your fingertips, use a cotton swab to wipe Vaseline off your nails & wipe the nails with rubbing alcohol like in the video. Any nail polish that gets on your skin will come right off. :)

I was struggling with my right hand also, so i started doing gel x. At first im painting on the tips, like some nail art, then glueing it to the nail using nail gel. It works for me 💕

question, I notice you file product off and you don't soak. That's what I've always done and been comfortable with. There are people who swear you have to use acetone or you'll get infection. Thoughts?

as a girl who lives in a country where many nail shops dont ship or are too expensive i only use simple nail polish. i grew out my natural nails they are still short but still. i use a pointy skewr to do the small designs and my only white nail polish is drying out😅😅 i still love doing them even with very very limited colors😂

Can I ask why you use baby power? Does it make it easier to remove cuticle/dead skin?

Would you ever think about selling a course or something of that nature? I’ve learned a lot from your shorts, I have a beautiful set on right now from learning to apply rubber base, but I’d definitely support you by paying for a more in-depth course if it ever happened

i might be kinda oblivious with sleep deprivation, but i didn't really understand how this helps... with doing the nails on my dominant hand? this just seemed like a normal nail tutorial, nothing on how to keep my shaky left hand steady enough to do passable nail work 😅
