Simplest way to decide: OM5 if for you film more primary with selfie camera in portrait mode for Tiktok (the tracking much better for this), Smooth 5 if you prefer back camera landscape mode filming for proper Youtube video content.

Thanks! This video was so good that even though it did not contain the om4, it was informative enough for me to get the om4! I chose the om4 cause i feel like its abit more friendly for beginners, did i make the right choice?

I have owned both Smooth5 and Om5.Om5 is definitely a nice gimbal.but I sold it after i bought the Smooth 5.The tilt range in Om5 is way too small compared to Smooth5.I can almost film in any angle by holding Smooth5.Om5 is like a toy, lol

waiting for these two gimble comparison for a long time, I have OM5, I love it
I bought ZHIYUN Q3, but I don't have good experience with it, and now it's returned to ZHIYUN after-sales repair center, then I bought OM5 immediately, it's very convenient and solid, I love the magnetic clamp, because When I'm shooting, I can take it off to answer a phone or take a picture by hand or something must be done by hand. the extension pole is good for vlogger, gives you a longer distance and smaller face in the frame when shooting yourself. so I don't have to carry a extra one.
Smooth 5, I have't had it yet, because Q3 make my heart dead!

With the extension at the base you will lose access to controls no? That’s why I think that the extension above the handle works better, especially if you are using the selfie cam so you can see what you are getting in shot and you get that extra space between you

Hey, bro, according your test, the payload for smooth 5 is 280g, but it can work well with iPhone 13 pro even added big lens, while osmo 5 whose payload is 290g, have some issues . I guese you make mistake, the payload of smooth 5 is 380g not 280g.

I had OM 2 but with my iphone 13 pro max feels like is goin to crash out, so i was thinking about OM 5, but thanks for the video, i guess Smooth 5 is my best option for heavier phones
