Film students should make a note of this. Great art direction and styling, well-woven plot and subtle comic. Magnificent cinematography in places. Plenty of art elements. One of the best shows around.

As someone stationed in Berlin during the Cold War, I was immediately sucked into this series, as so much of it was relatable to what happened before, during and after the fall of the wall. This is an amazing series. I hope there will be another season!

My favorite part of this series is that the trailer, synopsis and promotional materials claim it as "based on a true story" then as you first watch the series, it says "This is based on a true story. None of this really happened." Well played.

Also having watched a lot of not-so-good German Netflix shows, I decided to give "Kleo" a go while keeping my expectations low. I was pleasantly surprised not only by how enjoyable it was to watch but how well-presented it was. The soundtrack, color grading, the predominant use of colors to establish different places (ex. blue for East Germany, yellow for Chile), the acting. Jella Haase as a sassy assasin is so hilarious yet deadly. The story is quite predictible (the episode descriptions sort of spoil the thrill) but the humor keeps me glued to it until the end.

Back when Jella started her career, I don't think many would have predicted her to become so huge and one of the top actresses of her generation. But she did. Deserves all the hype and praise, Jella always delivers.

Y’all this show is so good, and i rarely watch any series cause im pretty busy and my time span is so low but this one got me hooked. This got a lot of twists and is really unpredictable. I need another season!

love Love LOVE this series KLEO!! If Netflix doesn’t renew for a second season, we’ll all know then, they are only about the numbers and care nothing for art. I’m sure it’ll be well received by critics, but I’d love to see this play out over a few more seasons. Great direction, acting and good writing.

Halfway through the first episode and I have to say that the lead actress has the same type of intensity in her performance that you would get from Keira Knightley. Great watch so far, the cinematography and editing are all on point as well.

Absolutely AMAZING. Haven’t finished yet, but episode 6: Kleo is on the ground, in the rain, and finally, we see her entire back-story, in dream-like fashion: the loss of her mother, her tyrannical Grandfather’s evil manipulations, her special agent training, and more. Oscar / Emmy worthy. Beyond. Lead actress is PERFECTION. Everyone is, in front of and behind camera. Damn.

An extraordinary film, a true work of art. This film has you hooked and very retro to the times of 90s during fall of east Germany. The acting is very good, overall is mix of all from espionage to cute killing to relationships fading and new love. This series has it all, looking forward for a second season if possible.
