The 2024 US Open main draw runs from August 26 - September 8 in New York City at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center. The tournament takes place for the 144th time and is the fourth and final Grand Slam of the year. Last year, Serbia's Novak Djokovic and United States' Coco Gauff claimed the men's and women's singles titles. It was Djokovic’s 24th Grand Slam title and Gauff’s first Grand Slam title. Sabalenka has been the most consistent player in Grand Slams for almost two years now. I really like her work ethic and willingness to always strive to improve . Also …remember this video of her, that was supposed to be private (imo), showing her smashing her racket in disappointment and anger in the hallway leading to the locker room after her loss last year ? Here it is …she didn’t give up and won the whole thing a year later . Bravo. Being able to defend a Grand Slam (AO) as well as winning 2 in a year is an ability given to very few players so again, congrats.

I love her strength in the last games of each st., She looked stressed and uncomfortable at the end of the sets in the semis and I was worried she started to feel the pressure but she got the break when most needed and took the title:)
