“I am an appetite, nothing more.” Man, what an awesome line. Summarizes perfectly what kind of vampire he is.

I read somewhere that the deep breaths, are due to him being undead, and needing air in order for his vocal chords to work and not actually breathing. Such a cool feature.

Most accurate Vampire. Repulsive, decayed corpse, with dark powers.

Bill Skarsgard was absolutely phenomenal as Count Orlok. Steals every scene and his presence is felt throughout

"I am an appetite. Nothing more." Cold line.

Watched Pirates of the Caribbean recently. Watching Stellan Skarsgard and Johnny Depp act together and then seeing their kids nearly twenty years later in this movie is mind-blowing.

I love that they gave him the mustache just like the original Dracula from the novel, makes sense considering nosferatu is based on him

Loved the movie. Basing his look on Vlad the Impaler was so god damn good. You felt Nosferatu's presence throughout the movie. Always looming.

The strength of this woman to stand there and face him given what he's capable of needs to be talked about more. She wasn't afraid to call him a monster and denounce him as nothing but a snake slithering inside her.

I love how labored and ominous his breathing is… truly a menacing presence

Interesting that he calls himself a "loathsome beast" and nothing more than a mindless hunger, showing self-awareness that he's a cursed abomination and that he hates himself and what he was turned into.

Give Bill Skarsgard an Oscar for his performance for this film.

Am I the only one who loves the use of old language

The way Orlok, like a true predator, tries to gaslight Ellen into thinking she is undeserving of true love and that she is the problem...what a true monster.

This movie hands down was the best horror film I’ve seen in years. It’s not scary but eerie and dark. His breathing and voice made the character perfect

I love the fact his character design was based more on folklore than the modern vampire design. Most vampire movies, theyre designed as either beautiful and immaculate or like a ghoul or demonic humanoid. Whereas Eggers and co. designed a creature that is hundreds of years old, rotting & decayed, still clinging to the wardrobe and style his nobility (while still alive) provided him. Same as when he says that he will be referred to as your lord due to the honor his blood demands. That is my favorite part of Robert Eggers style, espeically in The VVitch, with the accurate portrayal of the 16th-17th century farm and dialogue. It's time accurate, but not detracting from the art.

Lily-Rose Depp has finally proved herself as a decent actress

I just came out of Nosferatu and this is easily one of my favorite scenes from it, SO glad someone uploaded a clip (even if I normally don't encourage filming inside movie theaters). Bill and Lily-Rose are fantastic here; the culmination of a years-old mental connection, face-to-face with each other at last. Wish they'd done more interviews together. 🖤💓
