My dad used to play these songs and all other Obey's songs in the early 90's from his radiogram 🤣..gives me my dad's memory every time. I still vibe to them heavy. My son will vibe to them too. 🤣.

How can you listen to this and you are not inspired to get up and dance! Too bad for our younger generation. They don't really know what they are missing.

Akanni Dokunmu ti ku. God rest his soul. I saw him in his white Rolls Royce Bodija Estate circa early 70s Ibadan. He smiled and was driven away by his chauffeur. I stood there speechless for minutes. A remarkable presence he was.

My first recollection of any music was by Ebenezer Obey's. My dad played different tracks for different occasions.
I love it especially when played during Naming Ceremonies - it was fun time and pamper time. Love the attention showered on me by all my many aunties and uncles at the Ceremonies and days after.before they all go back to their respective homes...Miss those time.
Thanks Baba Obey for making those years memorable.

As a child growing up within the elite class of Nigeria at the time, my late mom used to listen to Obey’s songs. I hated the songs then because I felt it was too local. But today, I value Obey’s songs more than ever.

Koiki Media, our hero, making waves in current Yoruba emancipation drive is the son of late socialite Omotayo Koiki mentioned in this record. Boy, oh boy, Yorubas are certified omo jaiyejaiyes lol. Hands down.

Super glorious music produced by a complete "gentle man". Ebenezer Obey is a full package of blessings to this generation, and those yet unborn. Obey's music comforts me on all sides. I crave to meet him in person. May you live longer baba commander!

God we pray that the days off music retore and relocate to the past ways of good music that teaches lessons and bring sence of human and unity. And anyone who listen to this now say amen and hit like.
