Alameda's Gold Coast and Bronze Coast is an amazing part of the island. Here is an overview of what it's like to live here.

1. Bronze Coast (1:16)
- Lots of larger older homes, second only to the Gold Coast
- Many were divided up to accommodate the Naval personal and are still rentals
- Others were torn down entirely and replaced with apartments
- Fun Fact: the Naval Air Base was the launching off point for Doolittle raids
- These neighbors go all out for halloween
- 4th of July Parade

2. Gold Coast (3:03)
- You will find the highest concentration of larger beautiful victorian, craftsman and colonial homes.
- Used to be shoreline so many homes are oriented towards the water
- Very quiet tree lined streets

3. Schools (4:25)
- Some go to Love Elementary, Wood Middle and Alameda High and others go to Franklin or Maya Lin then to Encinal

5. Shopping (6:05)
- Small shopping section on Encinal and Chestnut that has a tailor, Bluedot Cafe and the Chestnut market.
- Gas station right where Encinal and Central Merge
- You can also get to Southshore, Park St or Webster either by foot or more likely by car.

6. Other considerations (7:15)

Jim Doolittle was from Alameda, Jim Morrison from the Door's went to Alameda High, Lon Chaney Jr. was a dinner guest at my Grandfathers Home on Encinal, I met him there. Jack LaLanes Son lives above me out here in Ocean View, All Alameda people.
