“I wrote this while I was walking around Shelby Park here in Nashville. I was listening to the birds and looking at all the trails the deer had made from repetitively taking the same path everyday. It made me nostalgic for when I was younger and lived in the country in Mississippi. My brother and I would follow those trails down just to see where they lead, come back and shoot bb guns and play video games. I’d practice guitar and wonder what my life might end up like. I’ve always dreamed of traveling the world and playing my songs, but I can’t help but wonder what it would be like if I just had a regular job and a routine that was more consistent than the one that comes with being a musician and how that would affect my relationships with the people I love. “
