Kev, how you gonna say Sonic fell off after 2 when Sonic and Knuckles presented one the most unique types game play. Lock on technology. The ability to plug a game into another game and have a totally different game. Sonic 3 and Knuckles blew my mind as a kid.

Super Mario Bros, Legend of Zelda, Pokémon, Sonic the Hedgehog, Street Fighter, Starfox, Doom, Final Fantasy, Resident Evil, Metal Gear Solid, GTA, Uncharted, The Last of Us. Those are the iconic staples that I played over the years. I'd throw Devil May Cry in there too for what it did to fast paced action games.
