I heard on the commentary of this movie that they originally wanted Muntz to get stuck in the house and fly away, or get caught by balloons and float upwards, but there was a problem with each of those.

First they wanted Carl to look at the house with fondness as it flew away, which he wouldn't be able to do if Muntz were in it. Also they didn't want to leave open the possibility of Muntz surviving and giving the potential for a sequel--they wanted the movie to be self-contained.

This was the only Pixar movie that I hadn't seen from all of the movies they have made. That is no longer true. I loved this movie.

oh my gosh i watched this twice and i cried for both of them the second time i was headed to an out of town game cause im in band and this was the movie that was showing on the charter and ohhmmgee me and my friend desirae cried it was soo good!
