I don't understand why people are so concerned that he is not able to play guitar, now a days even kids are playing instruments. So, what is it that makes difference with Ilaiyaraja and other music composers? He is the only composer in India who doesn't need instruments to compose, he just write the notes for each instrument. This is the best skill he has and people should start praising.

He was a gold medalist in classical guitar, obtained from London Trinity College of music, when he was around 20 years.

He was strumming.. He himself said on stage to Parthiban that he lost touch with the instrument. Let's not forget he started his life as a guitarist to G.K.Venkatesh and Salil Chowdhary. He won a gold medal in guitar.

He is not a good Instrumentalist at all be it Guitar or Piano he will just play like a beginner.He can play only Harmonium. Nobody can deny it . Also his Knowledge about ' Sound' is Zero. ' Isaignani' name is unacceptable.
