Energy in Hawaii: Forefront of Clean Energy Technology and Policy

Twelve incoming Stanford sophomores spent the three weeks before the start of the school year learning about the intricacies of the Hawaiian power grid. Two of these weeks were on-location in Hawaii touring energy facilities, and meeting with government officials and businesses. The Sophomore College class was co-sponsored by the Precourt Institute for Energy and the Bill Lane Center for the American West.
