This is perhaps the best implementation of XFCE I've seen. Good job, Zorin team 👏🏼

What I love about Zorin Lite is that in this case, Lite does NOT mean 'lesser than'. Xfce is a very capable desktop environment, and provided you have decent hardware, you can do anything you would in Zorin Pro in Zorin Lite. Bravo to the team at Zorin. My biggest gripe with Xfce in the past has been its UI design. More often than not, it would look ancient. The amount of work the team put into this release is remarkable.

I've been using Zorin OS 16 Pro since launch in August, coming from Windows. No issue. Full time on it!

Wow! I've just installed that distro on my old Acer C710 Chromebook (16 Gb SSD, 4 Gb RAM) and the speed is amazing. I had Linux Mint XFCE intalled before and it was not as snappy to play with all the application. An XFCE desktop with an improved look also. Wow!

this distro is honestly amazing.
the level of polish is very commendable, too bad that it's not as famous as some other distros like mint because zorin os imo is even better than that

I've been looking forward to this. I've been using it for a couple of days and so far I have to say I am satisfied. I had few bugs, but nothing terrible.

Zorin is the best distro for beginners and people who want a distro that just works without any fiddling around.

I have been using MX Linux Xfce for over two years now but this caught my attention the other week. I have now changed my main computer and so far I am enjoying Zorin OS Xfce very much. I have kept a Live USB (with persistance) of my MX set up. But thank you for showing off this distro; I think it's top-notch.

I just recently switched to Zorin OS from Windows and I have to say I absolutely love it! The software store is Awesome abs it is very easy to use. It does take some time getting used to but it’s a much easier Linux. The only thing I wish is I hope more windows games will be able to run smoothly on Linux. Otherwise, I am now committed to Zorin OS!

On that note quick question, previous Zorin OS’ like Zorin OS 9 and 12, and now it is Zorin OS 16. How often will Zorin OS upgrade to the newest version and would I have to redownload the newest version when it comes out or will it let me automatically upgrade without loosing data?

I have been using zorin os 15.3 lite since the release and it has served me pretty well with only one minor bug.

Thumbs up for pronouncing it ‘nome’, because that’s how the word gnome is pronounced.

Love how Linux Distro's have a Lite version for older Desktop's and Laptop's, especially laptops. So not to just throw them out, it's a reuse recycle type deal and gives new life to those old laptops. Don't get me wrong though, adding the maximum amount of ram with the best speeds and adding a SSD instead will dramatically improve it as well.

After the LTT videos I became Linux curious again as a DE replacement for windows. Having it used it the past I found it to be sub par. Especially that the UI was never consistent. I Began with Manjaro which wasn’t stable for me. Next PopOS which was a huge step in the right way. But ZorinOS blew me out of the water. It is stable, picked up all my devices without issues, looks great. App Store that is actually useable. I went on and installed it on my old MBP 15 inch retina. Which is notorious for giving driver issues on GPU and WiFi. Nope, on ZorinOS everything worked directly. Oh and it’s fast too!

I thought my Linux journey would be a temporarily one, with a lot of distro hopping but I am so satisfied with ZorinOS I’ll stick with it. Only thing that I think is a shame…. There is no upgrade path going from Core to Pro. You need to do a reinstall which is a bit disheartening having everything just setup.

Zorin OS 16 Lite looks nice and pretty close to their Core version. I may try to test it on a VM to see if the things that were causing me issues in the past with Zorin have been fixed or are still there, though I won't be switching to it. Some of them were: applications that are not legible when using the dark themes, GNOME Shell (or applications) crashing, & GNOME Software flat out not loading on a slower (roughly 3mbps at the time) internet connection.

I forgot that the xfce version of Zorin exists. It does look beautiful though.
