Green ICT & IHP: Sustainable Tech for a Greener Future

Показать описание
The Green ICT project is an initiative funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research to establish a competence center for research in information and communication technology (ICT) under the leadership of the FMD research association. The project brings together 15 leading research institutes across Germany to develop sustainable solutions in the field of ICT. The IHP is part of it.
IHP’s key focus areas include:
✅Energy-efficient communication technology – development of energy-efficient circuits for communication in the millimeter wave and sub-terahertz frequency range
✅ Resource-optimized electronics production – working on novel materials and technological processes to reduce the carbon footprint and energy consumption
✅Sustainable Device Life Cycle Assessment – establishing measurement hubs and testbeds to evaluate life cycle-relevant parameters of communication devices
With the mission of making Germany climate neutral by 2050, Green ICT is making a contribution to a sustainable future in the digital world. With billions of electronic devices operating worldwide, reducing their carbon footprint is critical to a sustainable future.
