The Liberal Party has won yet another election with a minority government. So what does this 2021 election victory mean for the Toronto Real Estate Market and the overall housing market in Canada? Politics aside government parties all ran on the same slogan “affordable housing” the average joe interprets this as “cheaper “ prices which is not the case. The government will only help aid through programs and tax benefits to help save for a home down payment and offset costs. A surge in new supply could help but it won’t be enough to bring prices down, just slow them down

*thanks Zhen great video, glad to hear more people finally get it*
*federal government will not do anything on housing, it's more about supply vs. demand, and its more Municipal & Provincal government related, lots of government red tape to get new projects started, dumb zoning laws(also the not in my backyard mob pushes city counselors), development taxes & and more carbon taxes will just increase the cost to build homes which just gets passed down to buyers*

I am really hoping for a crash so I can buy, not in Toronto but out of GTA. Even Niagara region saw a huge increase, which is just not normal. Crash is likely to happen.
