"Is that your idea of paradise?" Absolutely chilling line.

The darker music and the way Ralsei just drops his usual polite personality is absolutely chilling.

It's kinda scary how after everything that's happened in chapter one and two, this is the one and only moment Ralsei genuinely loses his temper.

He may not end up becoming a twist villain, but there's a helluva lot more to him than he let's on, considering he does and knows things he probably shouldn't

So, in Chapter 1 we needed the balance to be disrupted for the 3 heroes to appear and seal Angel's Heaven
And if things go out of balance, we get The Roaring / A Terrible Calamity.

in Chapter 2, we establish that if the DARK overwhelms the LIGHT we get the TITANS from the fountains, all Darkners turn to stone, and all Lighteners are left alone.

But what happens if LIGHT overwhelms the DARK? What happens if the last fountain- Ralsei's fountain- is sealed?

I look forward to in the final chapter when this all happens and we hear this music again.

Just an observation, the eyes of the titans looks like "Save points".

00:45 the eyes on the centre titan are the same as the eyes in the first area of ralseis kingdom (with the eyes and black goo)

This cutscene is one of the more powerful ones I see in games. You can picture just how depressing that scene would be if it were to actually happen. All Darkeners are now stone beings and all Lighteners are left on their own, trapped in darkness... That's terrifying.

I suprise that people skip over this tib bit of lore when it does mention what will happen if there to many dark fountains

People are starting to think Ralsei is suspicious, in that he knows way too much about the end of times and about the world of darkness in general.

... But people also tend to forget that Ralsei has been waiting all of his life, for Kris and Susie to stumble in and set forth the events that'll result in not only the rise of these Titans, but their downfall at the hands of Kris, Susie, and Ralsei himself. We don't know how long this world has been in existence, and we don't know how long Ralsei's lifespan is; we do know that Ralsei is generally tender-hearted, and wants to improve the quality of life for Darkners that are created by The Knight. And up until now, Ralsei has only displayed unease (at least) or concern (at most) for the actions of his party members who're either having it rough or are making other's lives worse; we never see him truly get angry at someone, until now... When a foolish, young Lightner threatens the welfare of _everyone_ by trying to create another fountain in the name of friendship and questing. He's naturally a denizen of the darkness, a prince and part of a subspecies of boss-monster found in the the Overworld; why wouldn't he have vast knowledge of how his world works, and how his world can also easily destroy our world?

I personally think Ralsei has everyone's best interest at heart, but... If he's secretly throwing everyone off (or) _is_ a Titan lying in wait, what if our choices mattered to a great extent in his eyes? An interesting thought I had, just as I type this, is this: what if Ralsei is a Titan, who is merely curious of the morals of mortals? What if he's testing us, as Lightners, to judge whether or not we deserve the right to live? He's demonstrated in the past that he has an interest in being friendly, but if he was a Titan, he likely wouldn't know how to be a proper friend by nature aside from being really nice; that's why he presses us on the boat-ride through the tunnel of battery acid, about what it takes to be a friend, and questions whether or not feeling mushy around his comrades is a strange thing to them.

For now, it's only speculation... But if my idea about Ralsei is accurate (which I bet it isn't even remotely accurate, ) I'd say it'd be in everyone's best interest if we humor him throughout the journey.

The sprites are so good. The LOOK on Susie's face when Ralsei first says stop.

Then again when Berdley keeps going & she just looks at him annoyed lol.

0:44 onwards is the best part of the theme. Shit had my attention completely at this point.

susie/kris never rly gave ralsei a proper introduction to berdly or even noelle when they were in the city, and to see him just snap at them at this scene lmaoooo.

Ralsei just dropping all pretence and angrily telling them to stop with the music also stopping was terrifying. The music in the cutscene itself too was just, good lord

Watching this, I really felt like chapter 1 and 2 are just the tip of the story. Chapter 3-7 will be the true story of this game. I really like how Toby is keeping the true story of this game a secret until we step on chapter 3 and above. This is why I love Toby XD

One thing I just noticed is that at 1:11 you can see a set of eyes on the center Titans’ chest and stomach. These are the same “eyes” seen at the first puzzle when Kris falls into the Dark World.

Also on a side note, the first time that I saw this cutscene, my interest for Deltarune went way up.
