ARMA II : Operation Arrowhead IED Tutorial

A small little tutorial I decided to whip up in the downtime while my favorite server is down for maintenance. Simple, low key no scripting involved way of implementing IED's into your missions.

thank you! this ones great, because you can make it so you can have a bunch of dynamic ieds by putting them all over the city and turning down the the probability of him spawning down low. also 3 changed to 4 destroys and hurts people inside of humvee instead of popping tires or not pop them.

Ambient combat module is well worth adding so you get planes flying overhead and shooting up things sometimes.
Sometimes it doesnt do anything at all, its random.

lmfao, dude I know that feeling. I still remember the days slaving over config files, building the whole thing and being like..aww yea, shit is perfect. Only to launch the game and get a config.bin error or some erroneous shit and look through my file and get pissed because I couldn't find a missing comma, or semi colon.

Hey I was over in Iraq in 2009 as a journalist and have encountered many of IEDs.

this is good but i recommend you switch to v2 ied instead as it will do enough damage to disable most light vehicles but not destroy them

@Regulator1D the funny thing is, i still have some saved missions where i used it in exact the same way, and it still works, but if i am trying to make it work now, it just doesnt.

just double check everything over, if you've played ARMA enough, you know that something as stupid as a missing comma will mess your whole mission up haha.

i tried that but when i went over the ied it didnt work

for some reason, this used to work in the case of my game just as u did, but suddently the insurgent/whatever just doesnt wont to put down the ied anymore, i checked all the commands already but it seems all to be just fine.

use attachTo and mount a mine on a chicken :D best weapon you can get
