Cold Steel Lucky One Review

Was feeling that I needed something a little dressier for the rare times that I actually go out and I saw the CF and blade steel and I was instantly sold. I actually bought direct from the Cold Steel site and they are currently on sale for only $45!! I may pick up 1 or 2 more to give as gifts.

Just ordered this on sale for $49.99. I had my eye on it and was not going to pass on S35VN with real carbon fiber, not laminate, for that price even with the lame "Lucky One" banner. I absolutely agree with you on that one. I love SV30 and it's bigger brother S35VN so this one was a must.

Sliceman- I was laughing as I watched this video. Your reactions were exactly the same as mine when I got it. First was WTF with the branding. Then it was, why did they put a clip on it? I then immediately removed it and said WTF, now there is a void, so I put it back on. The clip was particularly strange as they included a pouch. SMKW had them on a flash sale last week for $54 which was a great deal with the materials. I like your idea of turning the clip into a tab. I couldn't agree more with this review. All in all, a good little knife for the price.

I was thinking of this for a keychain knife, due to the very low weight, but no lanyard hole :( Do you know of any other sub-1oz knives that feature a super steel that would be a good keychain knife for my car keys? (I don't like knives that need sharpening, so I want a great edge retention steel)

Gotta agree, clip sucks for me. I carry knives like this in my shirt pocket, the clip is not so great for that. really nice looking knife.

The steel will intrigue D2 version released recently on steel wills site ($50).
Cold steel also makes a true traditional but in modern materials, the ranch boss a 3 blade stockman pattern in s35vn and bone scales, pricey tho at $200 (it's shtick is that the knife and all it's components are U.S. manufactured).

I’ve actually gone from tearing my hair out at ugly font on knife blades, to actually not really caring unless they’re really expensive, when I use them I don’t see much of the blade yknow?

Name and logo remind me of something Tarantino would do as a cheesy retro 70's style movie staring a chubby, middle aged, knife loving, tactikool loser with a failing martial arts school, who gets sucked into a extremely violent plot to rob nickel slots in Reno, during 4th of July, using an ice cream truck tricked out with 50cal machine guns. bwa - This July 4th... Fallkniven. If you want the best modern traditional. Period. SG2 is a Knife guy steel. Made by moki in Japan. Excellent fit in finish on par with GEC. Fallkniven Knives are hafted. Give them a look fh9 black or maroon both have excellent steels better than s35

If I bought this knife I’d remove lucky one from the blade . I thought it was a 30-40 dollar knife when I first saw it
