This is my second Sigg bottle. I'm not as keen on it as the other one (SIGG Total Clear One Drinking Bottle) but I did want a pop-top sports type bottle so this one has that ability whist the latter doesn't so....
It's a nice bottle. I bought the 0.75L one so holds more than enough liquid for my needs. The tank is secured well to the lid and feels good quality. I think it could take a few drops before it breaks (although I've not drop tested it).
The top has three parts. The widest part screws nicely to the base and has a white rubber ring inside to stop leakage. Just make sure you don't overtighten this as it may push the ring out into the bottle and then it will leak. Just tighten it enough so it doesn't move freely and it will be fine.
Above the widest base part is another section which also unscrews. I'm not too sure what the point of this part is exactly but could come in handy if you like to freely pour the drink out without too wide of an opening. There is another white rubber ring inside also to stop leakage.
The final part is the very top which is the pop top bit. This I both like and dislike at the same time. If you twist this top mouth piece while it is closed it will lock closed. This works well. But, what I find is that if you open it (by popping it upwards) and then lift the bottle upside down to drink out of, once the mouthpiece is in your mouth, it tends to close by popping back in and therefore stopping the flow of the drink. This has happened a few times and is quite annoying. When it doesn't happen though it flows quite well. But I would of liked it to be able to lock once open as well as closed. Also due to the lock it isn't very easy to unlock and drink out of using only one hand.
Overall though it is a nice bottle and I'll be keeping it. Been using it a few weeks and it's doing well. The strangest thing with it though is even though I'm using it for non-carbonated blackcurrant juice only, everytime I pop the top up to take a drink, it gives off a little hiss and there is a small spray just like when opening a can of fizzy drink. Strange that it does this but it's not a big deal.
