the fact she is still committing for the tip after three years is commendable, a top barista that one.

most unbelievable part is 4 dudes randomly meeting for coffee during the day

The boba tea girl said I was handsome I’ve been living off that compliment for the past 3 years.

I used to be a barista. My coworkers and I did have crushes on certain customers. We looked forward to seeing them every day. We also looked forward to seeing a lot of our regulars.

I had a clerk at a record store like this. She was being overly friendly each time I came into the store. I later found out she was in therapy for being super uncomfortable talking to strangers and even regular customers. She was counselled to talk in order to get out of her anxiety. So I was just the result of a successful therapy experiment. There was no I like you or even friend zone. Just the subject of a social experiment.

The fact that he was convinced she was into him because she called him a courageous man and not all the personalized comments like “i was hoping you’d come in” in the beginning is gold.

LOL. I had a coffee spot where there was this really cute barista who was always super nice to me. She once even drew a heart on my cup. I didn't want to creep on a girl at work, so I knew the owner of the cafe and I asked him if said barista was single and maybe interested and he kindly informed me she had a boyfriend and all customers had hearts drawn on their cups during February (for Valentines). 🙃 I know better now lol. Never again!

This is actually a scenario I lived through. I dated a barista for 2 years. We almost married. And yes I met her at a coffee shop and thought she was flirting with me. So I made a move and it all kinda worked out. After a month she acknowledged that she didn’t try to flirt with me and that’s the thing she always did, just smiled with her beautiful smile. But I guess I was the lucky one, to be misinformed but still succeed in a way.

I remember reading about a grocery store chain that implemented a policy that required their cashiers to be friendly and chatty with all of the customers as part of their "friendly folks" image. So the cashiers would smile and engage each customer in small talk. They had to terminate the policy because male customers were taking the friendliness as an invitation from female cashiers. Random dudes were literally hanging out in the parking lot and approaching the female cashiers when they finished their shift.

"I didn't get a coffee because I can't justify spending 8 dollars" I'm that guy LMAO 🤣

I had a barista flirt with me for weeks; even scolded me once for not “saying goodbye” to her the previous day.

When I asked her out I got the “I hAvE a BoYfRiEnD” speech. Never falling for that one again lol

the most unbelievable part of this skit is that he STILL has three friends despite his obnoxiousness and delusions.

I like how at the end of the skit his mental illness worsened and he started hallucinating

I started working in customer service at 15. Adult men would ask me out at work and I would have to tell them no, I was fifteen and they were all embarrassed. I remember once there was a guy there with his friends, similar to this, and his friends all made him go back and apologize to me.

I literally had this same experience, not sure if the Barista was into me or just being nice... We've been married for 5 years now.
