Spain and the EIB: Our impact from 2018 to 2022

We have worked in Spain since 1981, financing key infrastructure, education, research and innovation. During the pandemic, we supported the pharmaceutical sector by helping HIPRA and Galenicum to develop new medicines. We also made it easier for small and medium-sized enterprises to access financing and provided funds to areas with higher healthcare costs. As the EU climate bank, we invested into clean technologies, including Solaria’s new photovoltaic plants and Talgo’s low-carbon trains.
