Jagex have conceded the point, and allowed the Runelite HD plugin, from the fantastic RS117, to be released.

Jagex had a guy devote 2k hours into a HD plugin for FREE. He got the attention of a lot of MMO players across the board for their game and potentially created some assets for their personal HD version that they could use or take inspiration from. It was a big win win and they still tried their best to fuck it up. Amazing.

Man that increased draw distance makes SUCH a difference. Kudo's to 117scape for making this mod. GG community for standing against Jagex on their wrong decision to stop this mod. This is damn impressive!

Damn. The moment you started the old school RS login theme and switched from OS graphics to HD was amazing. It’s honestly night and day and remind me when I saw them for the first time almost a decade ago. Just… damn. Almost made me shed a single manly tear!

I got a little teary eyed at the part where you were comparing the new and old looks of the areas, just thinking about how much the game has grown and changed. I don't play regularly any more but this game was a major part of my life for over a decade.

this is a great HD mod. they've really brought the game up to a higher visual fidelity without compromising the art style. that's surprisingly rare with these sorts of mods.
