Forget them. This happened to me. My Jamaican girlfriends grandparents asked her what I did. She said he is a construction worker. And they replied, honey you can do better. She didn't say anything after which told me she agreed to some extent. 2 months later we broke up. I was a simp for not doing it earlier. Funny thing is I turned out doing incredibly well. Owning and operating a gym, business, moved my family to another state, retired my wife, soon to retire my in laws and mother. No hard feelings towards them but this does show you, you clown the hard workers and you end up losing out or embarrassing yourself. Ps. She actually tried to come back into my life after realizing my success. Don't let them back in boys. DONT. If they can't stand by you at the bottom. They don't deserve to be by you at the top.

I had this similar story with an ex of mine but I was confident about it. She was 22 I was 20 and I was working in retail at the time kind of figuring out what I wanted to do. I’d made their daughter happy and we both really liked each other. I met them and told them I worked in retail but had aspirations of going further to be a manager if not I’d do something else and they were clearly turned off me straight away by that. They didn’t care about me as a person or who I was but they labelled me by my job. When the same girl stayed at mine her mother went crazy because it was me. Safe to say that didn’t last long after that

That’s pretty dumb and short-sighted to leave a guy at 21 over that. 99.9% of men won’t have their life and career figured out at that age. A person with wisdom would be looking at your character and work ethic rather than your current circumstances. If you were 40 it would’ve been a different story.

Those are the same types of people that if you were to become a high flying banker then fell on your backside because you became ill then they would kick you to the curb… So ye always keep perspective, you were better off without them.
