The game should be throwing mechanoids at you since that would be the only hostiles faction it can draw raids from. I guess you weren't getting them in this test since you lacked the colony wealth for them to spawn?

Wouldn't you still deal with mechanoids and insects? Also you would think you couldn't eliminate the broken empire since according to lore most of them live in a massive fleet in nearby space.

With the mod Rim War you win if you destroy the targetted faction

I tried this too in-game with Dev mode (as it allows the 5% land Island as seen in the video) and eliminating all factions makes it so that only Mechanoids, and Cave insects can raid. Makes the game a lot more boring

So... It sounds cool to do but destroys the fun

Mechanoids and Insectoids, Basically, any hidden factions will be the one who invades you.

Wouldn't it be more fun that that when a faction is destoryed after a while new colonist start a new faction

Last time I heard if you destroy every settlement, then you'll only get mech attacks, since you can't destroy that faction, which is not a good deal imo.

I love the challenge of humanoid raids so my answer would be no as well as I could get a sweet new colonist to impri- *ahem* I mean assimilate into the colony!

Hm, a no-faction playthough sounds interesting if the animals were paticular deadly/unqiue. Ya know, to represent a hostile 'Dead World' or something. Add trade ships that bring in fresh colonist and you could do a playthrough as the first colony on a fresh world.

One you get the deep mining and advanced fabrication techs, you pretty much have everything you'll ever need, besides a persona core. I'd say once you get those things you could take the nuclear option.

You could still get pirate raids, as they don’t have an “on planet” base and just drop-pod from their ship.

You could just disable all factions when making the world and it tells you this but alright
