What do you mean by strange laws? I go to the Philippines a lot, am, about to go in September again, the people over there are so nice and respectful, always kind and very humble, generous and caring. They will feed you, make sure you are safe and are always friendly, I am sure there are some bad apples but I have yet to meet anyone who was mean or rude to me, and I 100% respect their culture and religious beliefs, and laws!

Actually, Philippine laws are tolerant but not to be abused or you will face the consequences. Some are maybe strange to Americans because they have evolved backwards morally. Too much freedom is toxic.
