St. Stephen’s Basilica, the largest church in Budapest, is dedicated to Hungary’s first king, St. Stephen.

8 500 people can get in the beautiful Neoclassical cathedral at the same time.

It houses Hungary’s most sacred treasure, St. Stephen’s mummified right hand, the Szent Jobb (Holy Right Hand).

The building does not have Basilica form and in its place has a Greek cross floor plan.

St. Stephen’s Basilica has the biggest 9 tonnes bell in Hungary.

‘Evita’ (Madonna) chose to shoot the scene of the wedding of his blonde protagonist and her beloved Perón.

It is home to the tomb of a Real Madrid player, one of the most important football players of all time, the Hungarian Ferenc Puskás.
