Because she’s not a dolly curvy blonde who is unrealistically portraying someone with normally decades of experience, Brenda is realistic, cranky, compassionate, kind and human. I hope this series never ends. British tv is SO much better than American!

Oh, I dance for joy when I see a "Vera" series being posted by our PBS stations. The best series ever on TV. I adore Brenda Blethyn so much, have been a fan of hers for ages. In some ways, she reminds me of my late father's big sister, that giggle, the twinkle in her eye, very determined. May this series live on for many years to come.

I love this show because, i love the bbc crime shows, a woman lead, and its not gory and full of bad language and unnecessary sex that many programs are filled with for no reason . I throughly enjoyed it. Well done!

VERA is my binge during the CV19 isolation. Even of I've seen the show, I forget who the killer is so it's all new again. I have noticed that the show has a very small wardrobe budget, but that's part of the charm. Hope their making more shows.

I like her so much. I always enjoy interviews with her and I LOVE Vera. Not only is it beautifully written and acted, it's so much smarter than police/detective shows in the U.S. And there are no guns, which the U.S. depends on in shows about detectives and police. Love her.
